THE PRAYER FOR TODAY O God, fount of all wisdom in the humble witness of the apostle Peter you have
shown the foundation of our faith; give us light of your Spirit, that recognising in Jesus of Nazareth the Son of
the living God we may be living stones for the building up of your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our
Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen.

PICNIC IN CHURCH

Bring a picnic rug and a plate to share for lunch and watch Joseph King of Dreams. This DVD is an
animated version of the Joseph story, which we are reading on Sundays at the moment. Lunch will be from
11.45am followed by the movie. (The movie runs for a little more than an hour) ALL WELCOME

in the foyer. Activities for the weekend include lots of eating and drinking, liturgy preparation,
treasure hunt through the sand hills, bike ride to Carrickalinga, sand castle competition judged by
Warren, beer o’clock, celebrity heads, sing-a-long and that’s just Saturday. Sunday watch Sid
Sweet as he breaks the ice then join us for a Service on the Beach followed by a lunch. Come for
the whole weekend or just for the service and lunch.

THE MAGDALENE CENTRE is in desperate need of blankets, sleeping bags, doonas, etc, to provide some
winter warmth to those sleeping rough this winter. Kate and Allan Jennings would be happy to pick up any
donations that you are unable to deliver to the church yourself. They can be contacted on 8370 3166
